@manishi82 yes, the american system is quite easy going ... i have seen american students in high school who cannot handle "fractions" and students in calculus classes who are very weak in algebra...

i lived in india 15 yrs.....but after coming to american school it changed my life...the way i think n learn.....american teacher r so good in teaching that makes u wanna actually learn....IN INDIA its just boring lectures but here they show ACTUALL DEMONSTRATION, fun activitites n so many other interesting stuffs!! Dont know when indian school system will change.

there is nothing in iit's as cruel as it has been shown in the film. fuck the medis for comparing iit's education as with the one depictde in the film. there is always credit for free thinking here. supporting the film based on its message is utter foolishness. if anyone comments about changing the education system in IIT's or other reputed institutions, first of all please present a solution and then open ur mouth and im pretty sure u cant because there is no other solution

yeah ....that's true in every college .....the ranking is decided on the basis of not new things,ideas ...it is based on the JOBS....in engineering colleges they are not concentrating on education they are concentrating on how to get good marks .....the whole indian education system is suffering from this .....ANYBODY CAN GET THE B-TECH DEGREE IF HE 'SHE HAS MEMORIZING POWER ......NO NEED TO UNDERSTAND ANYTHING ...BECAUSE IN MY COLLEGE OR THINK EVEN IN IITS IT'S HAPPENING

I have experienced both the Indian and American education system and I have seen the best and worst of both worlds. I am not saying that hitting kids in school is good, but the system in American schools are not working either, since they are sooo easy going. Many of the American students graduate from high school without learning basics and some don't even know how to read. In reality the American school systems are suffering

Sagarika has mistaken the subject. Not only higher education, even schools encourage rote learning. This is really about the whole education system in India from KG onwards.
